"Meeting Kuriakin" is the twenty-ninth chapter of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy.
Synopsis[]
Wanting answers, Lucas seeks the help of Professor Dimitri Kuriakin to help him understand what Agatha was referring to. Lucas pretends to be a journalist named John Cunningham in order to get close enough.
Kuriakin explains Quechnitlan is a serpent god that resides between our world and the "Other-World". So, the Mayan Oracles open the mouths of the serpent via human sacrifices in order to see into the "Other-World". He also reveals that the Oracles have supernatural powers like longevity and mental manipulation in order to preform the sacrifices.
Kuriakin then explains the sacrifice must have their heart severed via cutting three of the heart's pulmonary arteries in order to keep the victim alive long enough to keep the mouths of the serpent open as long as possible.
Kuriakin will grow suspicious and question Lucas who is. If Lucas lies, Kuriakin will advise him to leave the museum alone. If Lucas reveals the truth, Kuriakin will grow worried and accompany Lucas as they escape the museum.
Lucas (and Kuriakin if he is with him) are then attacked by several cars in the parking lot. After he survives the attack, Lucas talks to a dying Kuriakin who warns him to find the Indigo Child. Lucas then has a vision of the Oracle, who pulls him into a mysterious place.
