"The Fugitive" is the twenty-seventh chapter in Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy.

Synopsis

After evading the police, Lucas Kane is on the run. With nowhere else to go, he tries to approach Tiffany's apartment, but he has a premonition about getting caught by the police if he enters from the front. Instead, he sneaks in through the back, and raids Tiffany's kitchen for food.

When Lucas checks the news or enough time passes, he finds out that a professor of Mayan history, Dimitri Kuriakin, will be present at an exhibit in New York, and he decides to meet him to gain more information Quechnitlan. Tiffany arrives, and is quickly followed by Tyler, who searches the apartment. Lucas hides while Tyler searches for him.

• If Lucas' Mental State is reduced to 0, he will turn himself into the police.
• If Lucas fails to successfully move along the ledge, he will slip and fall to his death, landing in front of the two officers watching the back of the apartment.
• If Lucas runs out of time, he will fall off the ledge and die.
• If Lucas fails to keep silent twice during Tyler's search of the apartment, he will be arrested.
• If Lucas chooses to hide under the bed or inside the shower, Tyler will find him an arrest him (even while he's being quiet).
